Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the McLaren Senna joined the elite ranks of the brand’s Ultimate Series alongside the P1 and F1. Named after Ayrton Senna, the three-time Formula One champion with McLaren, this hypercar was designed with a singular purpose: to be the most track-focused road car the company had ever produced.
Unlike the hybrid-powered P1, the Senna is equipped with a revised 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the M840TR, delivering 789 horsepower. It features dry-sump lubrication, lightweight forged components, and twin-scroll turbochargers, with a custom carbon-fiber intake and a roof-mounted snorkel optimizing airflow.
The Senna’s performance is a result of cutting-edge aerodynamics and chassis technology. A prominent front splitter, active rear wing, and dynamic winglets produce up to 1,700 pounds of downforce at 155 mph. Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes ensure powerful stopping performance, while its 2.8-second sprint from 0–62 mph and lightweight 2,600-pound construction contribute to an outstanding power-to-weight ratio.
This particular McLaren Senna, chassis number 255, is one of just 500 units produced. First registered in the UK in March 2019, it is currently offered for sale on Collecting Cars with 3519 kilometers on the odometer reportedly by its original and sole owner from Malaysia. The car is finished in classic white, accented by green detailing on the front bumper air ducts, splitter, side skirts, rear wing, and quarter panel aero trim.
The interior is upholstered in black Alcantara with embossed Senna logos on the headrests, paired with brushed aluminum and satin carbon-fiber accents. It sits on staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear gloss-black center-lock alloy wheels, featuring green locking caps and McLaren-branded brake calipers wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Notable features include Gorilla Glass door panels, LED lighting, parking sensors, a reversing camera, a rotating digital dashboard, carbon-fiber bucket seats, a nose lift system, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth infotainment, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and a configurable race mode.
