Get Ready in November
The Ford GT is one of the most impressive production cars to come out recently, and Ford should be darn proud of its success. Recently, it came to my attention that a 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition will be auctioned off at the Mecum Auctions event in Las Vegas. The event will take place from November 12 to 14th, so make the necessary arrangements.
This version of the GT was introduced to commemorate the win that Ford had a Le Mans in 1967. This particular car has the coil cover signed by Gurney and Foyt. That is a detail that you’re not going to find on any other GT out there.
The car also features a titanium exhaust, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with black lug nuts, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Race Red paint with White stripes and Frozen White no. 1 graphics, and an Ebony leather-wrapped carbon fiber seats with red accent stitching. Mecum will auction the car with two personalized car covers. One of the car covers is still new in the box.
As with all GTs, the car features a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that makes 647 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. That engine is mated to a seven-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission. Obviously, with the auction, it’s impossible to know what this car will go for. These cars have been selling for around $1 million, so I’d expect at least that for this special car.
