A Gentleman’s Supercar
This is your chance to get your hands on a 3400 mile 2007 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722. The car is an insanely rare collaboration effort between the two major auto manufacturers, and as a result, you can expect this car to sell well over the half-million mark.
This car in specific bolsters the 722 badging; a special edition that calls back to Sterling Moss and Denis Jenkinson’s Mille Miglia winning 300SLR that wore that number over the finish line. The specific paint code of this car (Crystal Antimony Grey Metallic [701]) is a special paint that has only been used on the 722 editions.
Along with the special badging and paint, the 722 comes with some aero enhancements with the addition of a different front splitter, revised rear diffuser, and the airbrake gets an angel adjustment to improve overall stopping efficiency.
The car is powered by a supercharged 5.4L mid-mounted AMG V8 that produced 641 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque when it drove off the lot new. The power is translated through the five-speed auto transmission that can be controlled with the included paddle shifters.
The inside of the 722 edition Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren boasts luxurious Alcantara accenting on black semi-aniline leather and – as previously mentioned – just 3400 miles on the dash.
This car is currently on auction at bringatrailer.com and bids are sitting at $550,000 with just a few moments left.
