The Car of Your Rally Racing Fever Dreams
In 1992, Lancia made 400 Lancia Delta Integrale Martini 5 Evoluziones to commemorate the company’s fifth consecutive World Rally Championship victory. The car you see here is number 374 and it is currently for sale on Bring a Trailer. There are seven days left on the auction at the time of this writing.
This pristine example is a beautiful car and has been well cared for by the seller. It has only 21,00 kilometers—about 12,00 miles. It was sold new in Japan and imported from Spain to the US by the selling dealer. It is offered currently in California with both Japanese and Spanish records. The car will also come with a custom Martini car cover and a transferable Vermont registration.
The car features a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder engine that is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. That gearbox sends power to all four wheels. The engine received a new timing belt, tensioners, bearings, water pump, hoses, starter, intake manifold gasket, and other items in April 2017. There is documentation to prove this.
According to the seller, the car was repainted by the previous owner. The vehicle has Martini striping and a black rear spoiler. The white wheels measure 15 inches, and they wear 205/50 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The shock absorbers were replaced in 2019.
Inside, you’ll find an immaculate interior with Recaro sport seats. They’re trimmed in synthetic suede and feature red accents and red seat belts. There’s also a period Clarion cassette player and Martini-branded floor mats.
Overall this is a wonderful piece of automotive history, and if you’re a rally racing fan, I can’t see how you wouldn’t want this. Bidding is already up to $78,000 at the time of this writing, and I would only expect it to climb from there.
