The “Mame Commission” Singer DLS is a rare, meticulously crafted reimagination of the 964-generation Porsche 911, created by Singer Vehicle Design as part of their Dynamics and Lightweight Study (DLS). With only 75 examples produced, this particular car remains in virtually new condition, showing just 182 miles on the odometer.
Originally a 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 coupe, it was transformed by Singer into a high-performance lightweight masterpiece. Finished in a custom Fluid Silver paint ($42,550 option) and protected by full-body PPF, it features Black Titanium bead-blasted trim and Black-tinted satin visible carbon accents.
Inside, the cabin is tailored in bespoke Olive Green suede, contrasted with Black-tinted satin carbon fiber elements and Black bead-blasted bright trim. Highlights include a carbon fiber X-brace, color-matched harnesses, a maple wood shift knob, and a MOMO carbon fiber steering wheel. Singer’s “Everything is Important” ethos is engraved on the door sills.
At its heart is a 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six developed with Williams Advanced Engineering, producing 500 horsepower and revving to 9,000 rpm. A magnesium Hewland six-speed manual transmission delivers power to the rear wheels, while lightweight materials such as carbon fiber, magnesium, and titanium keep the curb weight at just 990 kg. Handling is sharpened by custom EXE-TC dampers, carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes, and CFD-optimized aerodynamics developed with input from Porsche legend Norbert Singer.
Recently serviced by Singer in August 2024, this exceptional DLS is now available for purchase through Broad Arrow Auctions, offering collectors a rare chance to own one of the most exclusive air-cooled Porsche reimaginings ever built.
