An Odd and Affordable Prancing Horse

When you think of Ferrari, you think of curvy bodied sports cars and supercars, but the Ferrari 400i is anything but. It’s angular and so very 1980s. The one you see here is currently listed for sale on Bring A Trailer. While not quite as exotic as other Ferrari models, the 400i is one of the most-affordable Ferraris and could be good for a young or first-time collector.

This particular 400i features a Marrone Colorado metallic exterior. The interior of the car has brown leather. It’s unclear when it was imported to the U.S., but it was owned by the previous owner for 19 years. The seller recently serviced the car, which included changing the fluids and filters.

The car features a fuel-injected 4.8L quad-cam V12 and a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional factory equipment includes pop-up headlights, a quad-outlet exhaust system, and power windows. The interior of the car is beautiful with a three-spoke Momo steering wheel and a dash full of beautiful gauges and large gear selector.

The car is offered by the seller with an owner’s manual, a clean carfax report, and a clean Kansas title in the seller’s name. At the time of this writing, the bidding is up to $25,850 and there are four days left on the auction. If you’ve always wanted to own a Ferrari, this could be a cost-effective way of doing it.
