A Unique Car in a Unique Color
The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is the last classic-era, front-engine, V12 Ferrari. The car that you see here is a 1971 model year car, and it’s a fantastic example of the model. It is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer.
The car was completed on March 25, 1971, and delivered in April to George Woolley’s Ferrari in Toronto, Canada. This car has chassis number 14203 and is just one of 12 examples that were painted Giallo Dino and optioned with air conditioning. The car spent time in Illinois and Oklahoma. Eventually, it ended up in California.
In 2014 it went to a New Jersey collector. It received a mechanical refresh at this time, including new brakes, braking system, and suspension. Then it ran in the 2015 Copperstate 1000 in Arizona. Additional servicing happened in 2017. It was then auctioned in 2018. Now it is offered by the selling dealer.
The car has a numbers-matching 4.4-liter Colombo V12 engine. That engine was modified with electronic ignition and is fitted to a rear-mounted five-speed transmission. It also has black leather upholstery, 15-inch Borrani wire wheels, and electric power steering. The car is offered in North Carolina with a copy of its Marcel Massini report, tool kit, jack, and clean Montana title.
