The McLaren W1 continues the legacy of the legendary F1 and P1, part of the famed “Holy Trinity” of hypercars, alongside the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. With only 399 planned for production, each priced at around $2 million, excluding any customizations through McLaren Special Operations.
The numbers are staggering: the W1 boasts a combined 1,258 horsepower from a hybrid system that outperforms the Senna on a track and surpasses the Speedtail in a straight line. With its race-inspired “Race Mode,” the W1 mirrors the P1 by lowering its ride height and extending the rear wing, enhancing its aerodynamics for a more intense driving experience.
The McLaren W1 was first announced back in October and now we get a closer look at it thanks to the folks from Top Gear magazine on YouTube. Watch the video to learn more about this McLaren hypercar that is set to compete against the Ferrari F80.
