Ferrari breaks new ground with the 296 GTB, its first-ever rear-wheel drive hybrid sports car. This innovative machine boasts a revolutionary 120-degree V6 engine paired with a plug-in electric motor. Together, they unleash a combined force of 818 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 546 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm.
The unique 120-degree angle of the V6 engine not only lowers the car’s center of gravity for optimal handling, but it also creates a captivating sound reminiscent of a V12. This combination of a V6 and electric motor eliminates turbo lag, resulting in a smooth and responsive power delivery that enhances the driving experience.
And speaking of exhilarating experiences, the 296 GTB recently took center stage on the Autobahn in a video by the renowned YouTube channel AutoTopNL. After navigating some traffic, the driver pushed the car to its limits, achieving a staggering top speed of 352 kilometers per hour, which translates to over 218 mph.
