2,000-Plus HP
Electric hypercars are the future and the Aspark Owl might be the sharp end of the stick in terms of all of the electric hypercars. The company just recently revealed the production version of the car at the Dubai International Motor Show. We’d seen other versions of the car before, but the production arguably looks the best. It has a price of 2.9 million Euros (about $3.2 million), and it appears to be worth every penny.
The car is a sleek and seriously sexy machine with a 0-60 mph time of just 1.69 seconds. The car features four electric motors that make 2,012 hp and 1,475 lb-ft of torque. The top speed is 248 mph. The car features an 800-volt, 64 kWh lithium-ion battery that gives the car a range of 280 miles.
The car uses a carbon-fiber tub and body. Still, the car weighs 4,188 pounds. Where’s all that weight come from? It is due to all of the electronic stuff. The car also features a double-wishbone suspension system and adjustable ride height with three different settings to choose depending on where you drive the car.
The company that actually builds the cars is based in Turin, Italy. It’s the same company that builds cars for Apollo. The Manifattura Automobili Torino of Turin. The first of 50 Aspark Owls will be delivered in the second quarter of 2020, according to Motor Authority.
