The French Grand Prix; Reims, July 3, 1960. Phil Hill’s Ferrari 246/F1 rounds the Thillois hairpin at the top of the long pit straight. Hill and Jack Brabham in the works Cooper swapped the lead back and forth in the early laps until the Ferrari’s transmission gave up. Brabham went on to win and set a new lap record.
