Jaguar at the 1952 Le Mans 24 Hours
Where: Le Mans, France / Date: 1952
A great idea that failed. Jaguar created special streamlined bodywork for its C-Types for the 1952 Le Mans 24 Hours in an effort to increase top speed. Unfortunately, the new shape did not allow sufficient engine cooling and all three entries retired. While they were still running, Tony Rolt swept through Dunlop Curve in the car he shared with Duncan Hamilton.
