Extremely Rare Ferrari Monza SP1 Up For Auction

A practically brand new example of Ferrari's limited-edition open-top supercar

SBX Cars proudly presents the extraordinarily rare and captivating 2020 Ferrari Monza SP1. This example, finished in striking Rosso Fiorano with Argento Nürburgring accents and a Nero interior, has just 140 kilometers (87 miles) on the odometer, making it practically brand new.

Part of Ferrari’s exclusive Icona series, the Monza SP1 offers a unique driving experience inspired by the legendary 750 Monza of the 1950s. Its design is a fusion of Ferrari’s storied racing heritage and cutting-edge technology. Notably, the car lacks a traditional windscreen, instead featuring Ferrari’s innovative “Virtual Wind Shield,” which creates a protective airflow around the driver. Only 499 units of the Monza SP1 and its two-seat counterpart, the SP2, were produced, making it a highly coveted collector’s item.

The Monza SP1’s body is crafted from carbon fiber and boasts dramatic scissor doors and a single-piece front clamshell. Beneath the clamshell lies a formidable 6.5-liter V12 engine borrowed from the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, this engine produces a staggering 799 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque. With optimized intake ducts and a recalibrated ECU, the Monza SP1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed exceeding 299 km/h.

The car’s exterior is defined by its Rosso Fiorano finish and Argento Nürburgring accents, with airbrushed Scuderia Ferrari shields and integrated mirrors on its carbon fiber front end. Additional features include a dihedral door, exposed carbon fiber elements on the front spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser, as well as a full-width LED tail lamp. The 21-inch forged wheels, fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires, and carbon-ceramic brakes with Ferrari branding complete the look.

Inside, the Nero cabin features a monocoque carbon fiber racing bucket seat with a 4-point harness. Details like Bordeaux stitching, an embroidered Prancing Horse logo, a flat-bottom carbon fiber steering wheel with paddle shifters, and advanced digital screens further elevate the driving experience. Other highlights include front and rear parking cameras, automatic climate control, and a nose lift system for added functionality.
