Built by Superformance and sold exclusively through Clive Sutton in London, the Shelby Cobra CSX10000 represents the evolution of Carroll Shelby’s iconic creation, crafted with modern technology while retaining the spirit of the original Cobras.
While inspired by the restaurant-mod trend, the CSX10000 is not a restoration—it’s entirely new. Built on a ladder-frame chassis with crumple zones, it offers the option of a fiberglass or aluminum body. The heart of the car is a 5.0L Ford Coyote V8 producing 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, delivering a thrilling experience. The power-to-weight ratio is exceptional when weighing just over 1,000 kg (2,400 lbs). A supercharged version pushing 700 horsepower is also available for those seeking more performance.
The CSX10000 embraces modern features like power steering, LED headlights, larger 18-inch wheels, upgraded Wilwood brakes, and a Tremec six-speed gearbox. These updates make the car more accessible and enjoyable for a broader audience. Despite these enhancements, the Cobra retains its classic aesthetic with details like riveted bonnet scoops, side pipes, and Smiths and Lucas gauges.
