This site is a tribute to specialist car builder Bill Devin, and is indeed labeled his “Home Page.” Its opening image is almost minimalist, but when you go exploring, clicking on the various tabs and links, the site comes alive.

VUnder the first of these tabs, “The Man” you’ll find a basic profile and a brief story of how car builder Devin got his start as a child. Clicking on “The Machines” opens a page with 10 further links to details of specific projects, ranging from his beginnings with a 1949 Crosley Hot Shot through his days working with Ferraris and Panhards to the various self-manufactured, Devin-badged projects. This is the heart of the site where visitors will find the most information.

“Other Photos” takes you to a gallery of images from Devin’s various realities, beginning with a snap of his very first body mold through to a photo of Bill posing proudly with nine of his creations at the 1998 Monterey Historics, two years before his death.

The last tab is called “Letters” and there you can read correspondence directed to Devin by suppliers and customers alike. Below the profile box is a link to an amusing tale from Devin’s past. So give it a try and learn more about another interesting character from the American automobile industry.
