Want A New Lamborghini SUV? Your Options & What You Need to Know
The Lamborghini Urus S is the current base model of the super-SUV. It is a bit of a beast at 4,840 lbs, but with the 641 HP from its twin-turbo V8, as well as the monstrous 627 lbs-ft of torque, it will still get you up and rolling to 60 MPH in under 4 seconds. That means that it will out accelerate most other super-SUV's, and even many high-performance sports and muscle cars, in a straight line. The new SE Hybrid upps the performance ante, while the Performante Urus is still the racer of the bunch.
2025 Lamborghini Urus
Our Take: The right balance of Lamborghini craziness and daily SUV practicality.
Overview
The 2025 Lamborghini Urus charges into the future with a powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain, marking a new era for this high-performance SUV. While the iconic twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine remains, it's now joined by an electric motor to create the new Urus S.E. (Super Elettrica). This combination unleashes a staggering 789 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque, propelling the Urus S.E. from 0 to 60 mph in a mind-bending 3.1 seconds. Beyond the raw power, the hybrid system offers an estimated 30 miles of electric-only driving range, adding a dimension of efficiency to this super SUV.
But the Urus lineup doesn't stop there. The "base" Urus S also receives updates for 2025, boasting a revised front end with a new bumper and hood design, along with updated headlights and taillights. Inside, both the Urus S and S.E. benefit from an upgraded infotainment system and a wider range of customization options. For those seeking the pinnacle of Urus performance, the Performante variant continues to reign supreme. With its weight-saving measures, aerodynamic enhancements, and track-focused tuning, the Urus Performante delivers an even more visceral and engaging driving experience.
New to the options list are striking 23-inch Galanthus wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, measuring 285/35 at the front and 325/30 at the rear. Inside, the Urus S.E. boasts a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen with improved responsiveness and enhanced voice control. While embracing technological advancements, Lamborghini thankfully retains a satisfying array of physical controls, including toggle switches and a captivating caged starter button. These updates combine to elevate the Urus's visual appeal and technological sophistication, ensuring it remains a head-turner both inside and out.
"The Urus S is a masterclass in how to make an incredible car even better." – Top Gear
Pricing & Our Pick
The "entry level" Urus starts at $241,843 for 2025 and fetches up to $273,880 if you go for the performance-focused Performante.
S: Starts at $241,843
SE Hybrid: Starts at $262,631
Performante: Starts at $273,880
At this price point is it really worth it to save $30k and get the base model? Of course not. This is a super-SUV, so go for the Performante. We will say, the SE Hybrid does look pretty as a spec, so maybe that's the way to go? This is hard.
What's New for 2025?
The 2025 Lamborghini Urus S.E. debuts with a 789-hp hybrid powertrain, hitting 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and offering 30 miles of electric range. It also spearheads a mid-cycle refresh with new styling including matrix LED headlights, a redesigned liftgate and bumpers, and over 100 paint options. New 23-inch wheels and an upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreen enhance the experience, while physical controls like toggle switches and a caged starter button remain. The Urus S also gets the styling refresh, while the Performante continues as the track-focused variant.

Want A New Lamborghini? Your Options & What You Need to Know
Lamborghini deserves a lot of credit for keeping the Huracan fresh with regular tweaks, upgrades and redesign, keeping the supercar relevant in an ever-changing performance car landscape. But now it is time to let the Huracan sail off into the sunset while we get ready for the amazing-sounding Temarario. While you can still find the odd Huracan STO in dealerships for 2025, it is going to be phased out throughout the year so that is why we haven't included it on our list, only focusing on the special editions we know will be on sale for the full year. The Revuelto is Lamborghini's new flagship V12 supercar, replacing the venerable Avendator. The Revuelto is the first non-limited series Lamborghini to offer a full performance hybrid powertrain, to the point that it reaches hypercar levels of power at 1,001 HP. The 6.5L V12 also now redlines at close to 9,500, and is supported by an independent electrical motor on each of the two front wheels, and one in the 8-speed transaxle. Fun times.
2025 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato
Our Take: By far the best, or at least the most hilarious Huracán variants.
Overview
Lamborghini is well known for making cars that are a bit out there, a bit crazy, a bit beyond what one would call "normal," and the Huracan Sterrato continues that tradition. Someone, somewhere, thought that the Huracan lineup would not be complete without an off-road capable version of the supercar, and thus this beast was born.
While the 5.2L V10 has been detuned from its normal 631 HP to "just" 602 HP, and its top speed is a full 40.5 MPH less than its brethren, absolutely nothing will be able to keep up with the Sterrato when the pavement ends.
Using a newly designed version of the Haldex electronically controlled all wheel drive system, the Sterrato also gains a mechanical self-locking rear differential, a 7-speed dual-clutch transaxle that has had bespoke ratios for off-road use, and has raised, but still very sport-oriented suspension and dedicated, bespoke Bridgestone Dueler off-road tires.
Only 1,083 will be made, and most if not all are already sold, meaning that there are people out there that still appreciate the moments when a properly mental Lamborghini is made.
"The Huracán Sterrato might just be the greatest supercar ever, entirely unexpected but undeniably exciting." - Gear Junkie
Pricing & Our Pick
The price of the 2025 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato starts at $283,467.
Sterrato: $283,467
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is generally seen as a wild, unexpected, but extremely fun and capable car. The ultimate off-road vehicle for the car enthusiast? For sure.
To be clear, this wouldn't be a great daily driver and is really for the person with a bunch of other cars. It's a niche car, appealing to those who want a Lamborghini with a sense of adventure and a playful personality.
What's New for 2025?
Two new models, the off-road oriented, limited edition Sterrato , and the Tecnica, which is an evolution of the EVO as well as having a track-oriented setup like the STO. The Sterrato is all-new and expected to hang around for a year and that is about it.
Where Does It Rank?
The Huracan competes in the top end of the supercar car segment:
Lamborghini Revuelto: Starts at $608,358
Ferrari 296: Starts at $342,205
McLaren 750S: Starts at $308,195
Porsche 911 GT3: Starts at 184,550
2025 Lamborghini Huracan STO
Our Take: A riot on a track, and its limits are so stratospheric. So raw.
Overview
Lamborghini now has a car to rival the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. It is the Lamborghini Huracan STO or Super Trofeo Omologata (homologated for road use). As the name suggests, this car combines the best bits of the GT3 race car and the Huracan road car to create the ultimate performance machine. The STO only offered with rear-wheel drive and its body is almost entirely carbon fiber (including a one-piece front clamshell) to save weight and improve performance.
"A more aggressive, visceral, and emotional driving experience than any other roadgoing Huracán."- Autoblog
Pricing & Our Pick
The price of the 2025 Lamborghini Huracan STO Spyder starts at $348,773.
STO: $348,773
The Lamborghini Huracán STO is generally regarded as a thrilling but demanding car designed for those who prioritize track performance over everyday comfort. This is no daily driver.
In the Huracan range, it has unmatched performance potential, but its unforgiving suspension and loudness limit its practicality as a daily driver.
What's New for 2025?
The Huracan STO remains unchanged from the 2023 car for 2024.
Where Does It Rank?
The Huracan competes in the top end of the supercar car segment:
Lamborghini Revuelto: Starts at $608,358
Ferrari 296: Starts at $342,205

Porsche 911 GT3: Starts at 184,550
2025 Lamborghini Revuelto
Our Take: A fitting successor to the Aventador...a more sophisticated beast.
Overview
The 2025 Revuelto is intentionally designed to blur the lines between supercar and hypercar, as it does have the functionality and usability of a supercar, but has power, acceleration, and a price that is near a hypercar. The car is a total rethink of the V12 flagship of the Raging Bull brand. Take, for example, that the car is the debut of Lamborghini's new "mono-fuselage," which takes the carbon-fiber monocoque concept and extends it all the way to the front end with carbon composites fused to the monocoque. This adds significant torsional rigidity and allows for a much more streamlined front end, as there is no need to bolt a front structure to the cabin.
The 6.5L Lamborghini V12 also has been updated, now reaching a screaming 9,300 RPM redline and producing a hefty 814 HP all on its own. That is then combined with three electric motors, one for each front wheel and one in the 8 speed dual-clutch transaxle, which add another 147 HP overall. This gives the car 1,001 HP, with the batteries for the motors being charged either through regenerative braking with the motor in the transaxle, or via plugging in to charge.
"A masterpiece of engineering and integration...the electric motors never feel like a band-aid, just a boost to an already phenomenal V12." - Car and Driver
Pricing & Our Pick
The price of the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto starts at $608,358.
Revuelto: $608,358
This trim is the fully-powered performance hybrid hypercar version, with 1,001 HP and is also the fastest accelerating non-limited edition car that Lamborghini has ever produced.
While future models may have less power, fewer motors, or be Spyders, for now, the new Revuelto is the most powerful and fastest acceleration regular production car to ever come from Sant'Agata Bolognese.
What's New for 2025?
Only one trim of the Revuelto is currently offered for the 2025 model year.

2025 Lamborghini Temerario
Our Take: We're betting this is going to be the best Lamborghini yet.
Overview
The 2025 Lamborghini Temerario explodes onto the scene as the successor to the Huracán, ushering in a new era of electrified performance for the Italian supercar maker. This V8-powered hybrid machine boasts a revolutionary powertrain, combining a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 engine with three electric motors. This setup generates a staggering 907 horsepower, allowing the Temerario to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in a mind-bending 2.5 seconds. The electric motors not only contribute to the Temerario's incredible acceleration but also provide a limited electric-only driving range, showcasing Lamborghini's commitment to sustainable performance.
The Temerario's design is a masterpiece of aerodynamic efficiency and aggressive styling. Sharp lines and dramatic angles define its silhouette, while active aerodynamic elements optimize airflow and downforce for maximum performance. The interior is a driver-focused cockpit, with a futuristic dashboard layout and advanced technology features. A large touchscreen infotainment system provides access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings, while a digital instrument cluster displays critical performance data.
Beyond its impressive performance and striking design, the Temerario introduces innovative technologies to enhance the driving experience. Rear-wheel steering improves agility and stability, while a new active aerodynamics system optimizes downforce and drag depending on driving conditions. With its combination of groundbreaking hybrid technology, breathtaking performance, and head-turning design, the 2025 Lamborghini Temerario is poised to become a legend in the world of supercars.
Pricing & Our Pick
The price of the 2025 Lamborghini Temarario is expected to start at just under $300k.
Temerario: $290,000 est
Expect to pay over $350,000 for even a modestly equipped car when complete.
What's New for 2025?
The Temerario is an entirely new offering for 2025.

2025 Lamborghini Urus Performante
An SUV has no right having this kind of sharp steering, body control and overall balance and this performance.
Why Is This The Best New Lamborghini SUV?
The Lamborghini Urus Performante takes what was already an outrageously capable SUV and dials every aspect up to eleven. This beast boasts a recalibrated, more powerful version of the twin-turbo V8 engine, pumping out a staggering 657 horsepower. Weight reduction through the use of lightweight materials like carbon fiber further enhances its agility.
The Performante doesn't just get more power; it receives a host of upgrades designed to dominate on the track. A lowered suspension, wider track, and stickier Pirelli Trofeo R tires (optional) maximize grip and handling. Lamborghini's engineers retuned the steering for quicker responses and added a new "Rally" driving mode, allowing for playful oversteer on loose surfaces. These changes transform the Urus from a high-performance SUV to a genuine track weapon.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Lamborghini without a sprinkle of drama. The Performante's exterior gets a more aggressive makeover, including a carbon fiber hood with air intakes and a redesigned rear spoiler increasing downforce. Inside, you'll find Alcantara upholstery and racy accents throughout. The Urus Performante is about delivering a visceral experience on the road or the track. It redefines the boundaries of performance for SUVs, while retaining a dash of that unmistakable Lamborghini flair.
