[2024 Edition] Current Bugatti Model Lineup
Everything You Need to Know About 2024 Bugatti Model Range. The Ultimate Bugatti Buyers Guide, With Prices, Specs, Reviews As Well As Our Opinion On the Good & Bad from Bugatti This Year
Bugatti has rightfully been established as one of the world’s most revered luxury and exotic car producers. Add to that a storied history of Grand Prix motor racing successes in the earlier half of the 20th century, and you have a brand with a heritage as powerful and valuable as its automobiles.
In the modern era, the French automaker has become most well known through its flagship ultra-high-performance hypercar - the Bugatti Veyron - which was first released in 2006. Since then, the car has been succeeded by a new model known as the Bugatti Chiron as recently as 2016.
In 2021, Bugatti entered a new chapter through establishing a partnership with Rimac, the Croatian boutique automaker which took the world by storm in recent decade, establishing itself as a leading force in electric mobility. The Bugatti-Rimac partnership hints at some form of electrification in the future, but not before the marvelous W16 engine reaches new heights, as per the the new company's CEO, Mate Rimac.
It could be argued that Bugatti might as well be a single-model make, but the lineup definitely boasts enough credentials to be considered much more than a mere one-trick-pony. 2024 is actually a very interesting year for Bugatti, as there are technically no new models based on the Chiron being released, only cars being produced to finish up the Chiron's end of life special editions.
Bugatti only current model, the Mistral, is 2024 a hyper-roadster. You can't get one anymore as all 99 order slots have been filled at the astonishingly steep price of €5 million ($5,379,750 USD in 2024). The only other car that is being made in 2024, apart from the Chiron's last models before the production line starts on the Mistral, is the track only Bolide, at €4 million each, with all 40 slots already bought up back in 2021. Production of the Bolide is expected to end in mid-2024 as they are producing 1 to 2 cars per month at current production rates.

2024 Bugatti Mistral Models
More properly the W16 Mistral, the hyper-roadster is the last car that will bear the now-legendary 8.0L quad-turbo W16 monster producing 1,578 HP. Named after the powerful wind that sweeps across the French coast as Cote d'Azur, it has a completely unique design that is not based on the Chiron or Veyron. Even the chassis has been designed specifically for this extremely expensive, extremely rare beast, and when it does hit the road, if it does so before the Aston Martin Valkyrie Roadster, it will be the fastest drop top of all time. It is expected to hit 250+ MPH with the top down thanks to very well designed and engineered aerodynamics, without the cabin area creating a drag vacuum.
2024 Bugatti Updates
As noted in the introduction, 2024 is a transitional year for Bugatti. Only the W16 Mistral and the final few production slots of the Bolide will be made in 2024. The next Bugatti is expected to be a performance hybrid, and with Rimac's technology, a full EV Bugatti Hypercar announcement is expected closer to the Summer or Fall.
2024 Bugatti W16 Mistral
Base price: €5,000,000 ($5,379,750 USD)
Engine: 8.0L Quad-Turbo W16
Power: 1578 hp
Torque: 1180 lbs-ft
0-60 mph: 2.4 s
Top Speed: 250+ mph
The W16 Mistral is not exactly what you would call a poor sendoff for an engine that started its life nearly two decades ago. The W16 Mistral will be the final car to carry the 8.0L quad-turbo behemoth, and has been engineered and designed to go faster than any roadster before, making it the world's first hyper-roadster. Due to some ingenious aerodynamics, even when going at maximum velocity, the wind inside the cabin is expected to be minimal due to how the front of the car will create an "air skirt" over the cabin, which is also what will allow it to go well beyond the 200 MPH mark. No one really knows what the true top speed is yet, but computer simulations have all come back as 250+ mph! For a last hurrah, that's definitely not a bad speed at all!

2024 Bugatti Bolide Models
The Bugatti Bolide is something incredibly special: A track-only, racing-focused hypercar built around the astonishing W16 engine. Ultra-lightweight with active aerodynamics throughout, it has the most downforce of any of the W16 engine based hypercars of the past 20 years from the marque, at 2,630 kg (5,800 lbs). This, despite the car weighing a scant 1,450 kg (3,197 lbs) filled to the brim with all fluids. The W16 sling amidships produces 1,578 HP, but is fitted with four racing specific turbochargers instead of the standard roadgoing version, so its boost comes on much faster than the Chiron and Mistral road cars. Due to this, as well as the weight, the Bolide takes barely 2.2 seconds to hit 60 MPH from a standstill, and has a projected top speed of 311 MPH (501 KPH) when the aerodynamics are set to drag reduction mode. Of course, being a racing car, it uses race fuel, needing at minimum 98 RON, and can handle up to 106 octane fuel without any special adapters or tuning.

Engine: 8.0L Quad-Turbo W16

The Bugatti Bolide has no baggage compartments, sound deadening, or pretty much anything else apart from seats, a massive engine, and a steering wheel. The lightest W16 based car ever to come from Bugatti, removing the need for cargo compartments allows for every surface of the Bolide, which is based on a version of the Chiron, to be used for both passive and active aerodynamics. This allows the Bolide to produce nearly twice its own weight in downforce at 200 MPH. Much like every Bugatti model, it is extremely limited, with a production of only 40 units, all of which were sold within a week of being announced for sale, most of them to invitation only customers.
