The success of Concours d’Elegance and events like Pebble Beach has encouraged more shows to join the scene. The most immediate of these is the Greystone Mansion Concours which will be held for the first time this weekend in Beverly Hills. Gooding & Company tells us that their Talbot Darracq T23 will be a star of the event on April 11th at the historic Doheny Family estate.
Our first press release for BMW’s Villa d’Este has some exciting news. They will unveil a 328 Kamm Coupé that has been under restoration since the 1990s. Furthermore, the release spills out details on modern prototypes such as Zagato’s new TZ3 Corsa. We don’t have any available pictures so images of the old TZ2 will have to suffice.
Zagato have mentioned that their new TZ3 will be built in the tradition of the old TZ2 by using a tubular spaceframe to support a lightweight shell. As a modern interpretation, Zagato will build the world’s first carbon fiber space frame with a lightweight carbon fiber body for the TZ3. Andrea Zagato has envisioned this project for quite some time and we look forward to seeing the car in Italy.
