Aston Martin Racing will run a trio of Gulf-liveried LMP1 cars at the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans, which takes place June 13-14 at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin’s first victory at La Sarthe in 1959, when American Carroll Shelby and Englishman Roy Salvadori formed the Le Mans-winning Aston Martin DBR1 team.
