The McLaren 675LT coupé, unveiled at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show, reintroduced the iconic “Long Tail” design, last seen on the F1 GTR race car nearly two decades earlier. Building on the success of the 650S platform, which benefited from McLaren’s Formula 1 technology, the 675LT pushed performance boundaries even further. With a nod to its “Long Tail” heritage, the 675LT became a track-focused supercar.

Every element of the 650S was enhanced in the 675LT, making it lighter, faster, and more suited for the track. Key improvements included larger carbon-ceramic brakes for better stopping power, bespoke lightweight 10-spoke forged wheels that lowered unsprung mass, and extensive use of carbon fiber throughout, giving it a dry weight of just 1,230 kilograms.

The 675LT’s limited production run sold out quickly, thanks to widespread acclaim. McLaren responded to its success by releasing a Spider version the following year, featuring a retractable hardtop. Though it added 40 kilograms, the 675LT Spider retained blistering performance with its 3.8-liter V-8, producing 666 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. It sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 mph.
