The CLK 63 AMG ‘Black Series’ is one of the most exclusive limited-edition Mercedes-Benz models, with only 500 units produced between 2007 and 2009. As the official performance division of Mercedes-Benz, AMG has a rich history of creating high-performance versions of standard models, building a devoted global fanbase that includes notable figures from motorsports, entertainment, sports, and business.
For the CLK 63 AMG ‘Black Series,’ AMG selected the powerful 6.2-liter V8, which delivered 500 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a SpeedShift 7G-Tronic transmission. This boosted top speed to about 186 mph.
Special features for the Black Series included manually adjustable suspension, a limited-slip differential, larger air intakes, bucket seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, and carbon fiber additions such as a spoiler, diffuser, and widened wheel arches, emphasizing both performance and aggressive styling.
