Pebble Beach Concours d`Elegance
First held in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is widely regarded as the premier event for classic car enthusiasts. Each year, the event draws the automotive elite to one of the most scenic spots on earth to see the world’s most prized collector cars. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is held annually in Monterey, California and is considered by car enthusiasts everywhere to be one of the most exciting events on the car-world calendar. The first Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance was held in 1950 and the event has been going strong ever since then. It is the finale of Monterey Car Week held in August every year. Two things we love about the Pebble Beach event is that they honor a featured manufacturer or coachbuilder and the proceeds of the entire event have supported the United Way of Monterey County and the Pebble Beach Company Foundation .
Since 1950, Pebble Beach has been host to the finest exhibition of show cars in the world

Pebble Beach Concours Best of Show Winners
The first Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance was held in conjunction with the first Pebble Beach Road Race where Phil Hill won the Road Race driving a Jaguar XK120. Best of Show that year went to a 1950 Edwards R-26 Special Sport Roadster. The event is open to both prewar and postwar collector cars in which they are judged for authenticity, function, history, and style. Classes are commonly arranged by type, marque (manufacturer), coachbuilder, country of origin, or time period. Judges select first-, second-, and third-place finishers for each class in the event. Of the various awards given at the car show, the most significant is Best of Show. Winning a class blue ribbon is an honor that takes both an amazing car, and equally serious determination and money by owners. It is not unusual for owners to invest several million dollars to get a “100-point” car. That’s why Pebble Beach Concours traditionally attracts the most serious collectors in the business. Thousands of spectators converge on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach golf course each year to see the parade of prestigious, invitation-only competition vie for one of the most coveted awards in the car business – the Best of Show. The most awarded manufacturers aren’t surprising, with Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, Duesenberg, Mercedes-Benz and Packard having won many times over the years. Here’s the list of Best of Show winners.
