The V-Series lineup, known for powerful gas models like the CTS-V and CT5-V Blackwing, is now stepping into the electric era as Cadillac’s award-winning Lyriq electric SUV will be next model to receive the V-Series treatment.
Cadillac recently teased the upcoming Lyriq-V in a YouTube video, stating ,”The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, the first electric SUV to earn the V-Series badge, will join the brand portfolio early next year.” Though Cadillac hasn’t disclosed full details on this high-performance electric SUV, another video from Raiti’s Rides on YouTube offers some insight.
It’s worth noting that the Lyriq electric SUV is no slouch with its AWD version featuring a dual-motor setup delivering 515 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, while the single-motor RWD model provides 365 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
Joe Raiti, the host of the YouTube channel, speculates that the new Lyriq-V could exceed these figures, potentially reaching over 600 horsepower and achieving a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds or less.
Positioned as a rival to Tesla’s Model X Plaid, known for its remarkable speed and range, the Lyriq V is expected to be priced around $90,000, aligning it with other high-performance electric SUVs in the market.
