VSCC Brooklands Double Twelve (2014) – All Set

Brooklands Museum and the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) have confirmed preliminary details of the 2014 Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival. True to Brooklands tradition, the festival will take place on the weekend closest to the date the original track opened in 1907, which this year is June 14-15. The two-day event will feature Speed Trials, ascents, Driving Tests and the prestigious Double Twelve Concours across the Museum site and at neighboring Mercedes-Benz World, providing spectators and competitors with a huge variety of motoring action to enjoy. The weekend’s three standalone competitive events are:

• The Double Twelve Speed Trials on the Mercedes-Benz World Circuit (Saturday)

• The Double Twelve Concours (both days, but mainly Saturday)

• The Double Twelve Driving Tests (Sunday)

Each event will have its own class and overall winners, but to qualify for a Brooklands Double Twelve award, an entrant must compete in any two of the three events with the combined scores deciding their Double Twelve placing.

The overall event is structured so that competitors may choose which segments best suit them and their vehicle, so should they be able to attend only one day, they will still have the opportunity to compete. A full list of classes and downloadable entry forms will be available on both the Double Twelve pages of the Museum website, www.brooklandsmuseum.com and the VSCC web site, www.vscc.co.uk.
