The Ferrari Monza SP2 is a special edition car built to celebrate Ferrari’s racing heritage. It’s part of their new “Icona” line that revives design elements from classic Ferraris. The SP2 is a two-seater Barchetta, a style of open-top car popular in the 1950s for racing. Despite its open design, the SP2 is a powerful car. It features the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 engine Ferrari has ever made, with 799 horsepower. To compensate for the lack of a windshield, Ferrari developed a special “Virtual Wind Shield” system to provide comfort for the driver. The SP2 is a lightweight car built mostly from carbon fiber. With its incredible power and minimal weight, the SP2 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 186 mph.
Only 499 SP2s were built, making them a true collector’s item and one of them is currently available for sale on SBX Cars. This particular example is finished in the classic Rosso Corsa with a black leather interior.
