More Than Just Pretty Colors
The Bentley Mulliner Bacalar is an exclusive machine that Bentley will make 12 of, each of which will sell for $2 million. The car you see here is an impressive design, but it, unfortunately, will not be heading to production. The company held an online design contest for its workers and their families. The company’s director of design, Stefan Sielaff, chose the rainbow car you see above as its winner.
The car may just look like some random colors, but as Carscoops notes, the colors here are meticulously picked for the design. They’re all specific to Bentley. The colors are Dragon Red II, Orange Flame, Yellow Flame, Apple Green, Jetstream II, Sequin Blue, and Azura Purple. The Yellow Flame color is the one that the Mulliner Bacalar debuted with.
When it comes to power, the Mulliner Bacalar features a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine that pumps out 650 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The car takes many of its design cues from the 2019 Bentley EXP 100 GT Concept, which is one of the most impressive cars Bentley has ever created. It’s a shame that this rainbow car will not be made and was just a design exercise. It’s a beautiful car and would be one of the most interesting cars on earth.
