As we dive into the comprehensive list of Noble models, we'll can see why Noble continues to hold a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts who value driver-centric experiences and high performance. The company’s focus on low weight, high power, and minimalist design ensures that its cars offer exhilarating performance and remain true to the ethos of British sports car manufacturing.
The Noble M12 was a two-door, two-seater model initially released in the early 2000s. It's perhaps the most well-known model from Noble, recognized for its blend of everyday usability and race car-level performance. The M12 was powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, originally sourced from Ford, and capable of producing various power outputs, ranging from 310 to 360 horsepower depending on the model variant (GTO, GTO-3, GTO-3R). The car's lightweight structure and powerful engine allow it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds. The M12 does not have electronic driver aids such as anti-lock brakes or traction control, highlighting its focus on providing a pure driving experience. The M400, was a more track-oriented version of the M12, featuring a higher output version of the M12’s engine, producing 425 horsepower. The M400 is focused more on track performance but remains street legal, with a 0-60 mph time of around 3 seconds. It is also equipped with more aggressive aerodynamics, a roll cage, and racing harnesses, making it a bridge between a road car and a track car.
The Noble M600 was the flagship model of Noble Automotive and a step up in terms of performance and exclusivity. Unlike its predecessors, the M600 uses a Yamaha-derived twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing between 450 and 650 horsepower, adjustable via a switch on the dashboard. The M600 is renowned for its minimalist approach to high-performance driving, eschewing modern conveniences like electronic driver aids and focusing on driver skill and interaction. It has a carbon fiber body and a stainless steel and aluminum chassis, which contribute to a relatively low weight of around 1,250 kg. The M600 can achieve 0-60 mph in about 3 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 200 mph.
