McLaren 750S
Incremental Progress
2024 - Present
The McLaren 720S was already the best supercar on the market, so how did McLaren change things with 750S. Well, they didn't mess with a good thing. The McLaren 750S is all about evolution. The 750S's explosive power, ferocious acceleration, and staggering top speed are all incremental steps above and beyond the formula already set by the 720S.
The Ultimate Guide To The McLaren 750S: Every Variant, Specs, Pictures, Performance & More
The McLaren 750S, unveiled in 2024, marks a bold evolution of the successful 720S formula. This exceptional supercar delivered even greater performance thrills and refined everyday usability wrapped in its signature sculpted form.
Under the exquisitely crafted carbon fiber bodywork lays a revised 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. As the name suggests, the 750S produced an exhilarating 740 horsepower (750 PS) and 590 lb-ft of torque. Meticulous engineering refinements squeezed an additional 30 horses and 22 lb-ft from the already potent 720S powerplant. Mated to a snappy 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, this power propells the 750S from 0 to 60 mph in a blistering 2.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 206 mph.
McLaren's relentless focus on lightweight engineering is evident in the 750S. The extensive use of carbon fiber in the MonoCell II chassis and body panels contributed to a dry weight of just 3076 lbs, making it an agile and responsive beast on the road or track. The advanced Proactive Chassis Control II suspension system further enhanced handling, offering variable damping and ride comfort adjustments at the driver's fingertips.
The 750S continues McLaren's tradition of aerodynamic innovation. The flowing lines and sculpted body panels weren't merely for visual drama. Air intakes and vents guided airflow to optimize cooling, generate downforce, and maximize stability at speed. An active rear wing seamlessly integrated into the design, automatically adjusting its angle to enhance cornering grip or boost braking efficiency.
The 750S cabin strikes a balance between performance-inspired functionality and luxurious comfort. Supportive sports seats, wrapped in premium leather, provides both comfort and stability. The digital instrument cluster folds away in Track mode, minimizing distractions and maximizing forward visibility. However, the 750S also includes a central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, offering a touch of everyday convenience in this track-capable machine.
