Overview

The Bugatti Divo is a hypercar unveiled by Bugatti in August 2018 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, representing a shift towards more dynamically focused vehicles within Bugatti's lineup. Named after Albert Divo, a French racing driver who won the Targa Florio race twice in the 1920s driving for Bugatti, the Divo is designed to be more agile and nimble than its sibling, the Chiron, emphasizing handling and cornering prowess on winding roads and racetracks.

The Divo's design is a departure from the Chiron's, with a focus on aerodynamics and cooling to enhance its performance capabilities. It features a more aggressive front fascia, larger air intakes, a redesigned, fixed rear spoiler that is 23% wider than the Chiron's, and a new rear diffuser. These changes not only improve the car's aerodynamic efficiency but also increase downforce – up to 456 kilograms at top speed, significantly more than the Chiron.

The interior of the Divo follows Bugatti's tradition of combining luxury with performance, offering high-quality materials like Alcantara, carbon fiber, and high-grade leather. Powering the Divo is the same 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine found in the Chiron, producing 1,500 PS (1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque. This powertrain enables the Divo to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 380 km/h (236 mph) – a deliberate choice to ensure optimal handling and stability.

The Bugatti Divo is engineered to excel in terms of handling and agility. It features a revised suspension setup, reduced weight compared to the Chiron, and improved aerodynamics, all contributing to its enhanced cornering capabilities and dynamic performance.
