The Inaugural East Coast Air Cooled Porsche Celebration
For the first time in Long Island, a celebration of the air cooled Porsche automobile, and a retrospect of the man responsible for importing these performance European vehicles to the U.S.: Maximilian Edwin Hoffman.
The Inaugural East Coast Air Cooled Porsche Celebration took place today at the Hoffman Center in Muttontown, New York.
This one-day event captured the historic significance of the air-cooled Porsche and the Max Hoffman Center, with special road and race cars on display, along with the people who drive and love them.
Air-cooled Porsche owners and collectors were invited to display their Porsches alongside other historic air-cooled models and the event did not disappoint. From the second I turned into the long winding driveway I was fully engulfed in air-cooled Heaven.
The event had everything from vintage 1950’s era Porsches to 918 GTS’s and everything in between. A truly great event for Porsche enthusiasts.
