A One-Off Bugatti Veyron Celebrating The Year Of The Dragon Is Up For Sale

With the Chinese New Year just around the corner, maybe you can celebrate it by buying a car that’s been built for the said occasion. The car in question is a 2012 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport ‘Wei Long’ which is currently available for sale on Collecting Cars.

The Bugatti Veyron is one of the best supercars ever made, blending sophistication and fierce design with remarkable performance. Bugatti has introduced a number of special editions of this car and one of them is the Wei Long Edition which unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon.

Crafted in collaboration with Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur of Berlin, this bespoke Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport features intricate details, such as dragon-themed porcelain inserts on the oil and fuel caps, Chinese character-adorned alloy wheel center caps, and embroidered headrests showcasing the ‘Dragon’ motif. Notably, a porcelain dragon relief sculpture graces the rear firewall, alongside ‘La Maison Pur Sang’ porcelain inlays on the lower transmission tunnel.

Finished in Porcelain White with brushed aluminum and gloss-black accents, the exterior complements a vibrant Italian Red leather-trimmed interior. Diamond-quilted inserts, ‘EB’ crests on seat backs, and brushed aluminum trim further enhance the cabin’s elegance.

This particular model, number 50 out of only 58 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sports produced also boasts an 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16 engine generating 987 horsepower and 921 lb-ft of torque. With such power, it achieves a top speed of 253 mph and accelerates from 0-62 mph in approximately 2.7 seconds.

This is a one-off Bugatti Veyron that is offered for sale publicly for the first time and has been driven sparingly with only 8,428 kms (5,237 miles) on the clock, so expect this one to be very costly.
