The 812 GTS, Ferrari’s convertible counterpart to the 812 Superfast, marked the brand’s return to front-engined V-12 drop-tops since the iconic 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider. It carried over many highlights from the Superfast, including its ferocious 789-horsepower V-12 engine producing 530 lb-ft of torque, but introduced upgrades like a revised transmission with shorter gear ratios to match the coupe’s blistering acceleration.
Design tweaks were made throughout to optimize aerodynamics with the top down, which folds neatly beneath a rear-deck tonneau. The 0–60 mph sprint was estimated at 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 211 mph. However, in a high-speed run on the Autobahn featured in a video by AutoTopNL on YouTube, the 812 GTS actually reached an impressive 214 mph when pushed to its limits.
