Lexus has built its name on precision and innovation, and with the LFA, the brand aimed to compete with Europe’s elite sports car manufacturers. This high-performance supercar captured enthusiasts’ attention, exemplifying Lexus’s commitment to engineering excellence.
Taking inspiration from the 1967 Toyota 2000GT, the LFA was produced in a limited run of 500 units between 2010 and 2012. At its heart is a front-mid-mounted 4.8L V10, meticulously crafted by Takumi artisans, generating 552 horsepower at 8,700 RPM and 354 lb-ft of torque at 7,800 RPM. The LFA sprints from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 203 mph.
This particular 2012 Lexus LFA, number 235 of the 500 produced, comes finished in Pearl White and features a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer chassis with aluminum subframes, along with aerodynamic elements such as side air intakes, a vented hood, and a speed-sensitive rear wing.
The 4.8L 1LR-GUE V10 is paired with an Aisin six-speed single-clutch Automated Sequential Gearbox and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The car rides on 20″ BBS alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires, with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes providing exceptional stopping power. Suspension components include a double-wishbone front setup, a multi-link rear, and remote-reservoir monotube dampers.
Inside, the LFA’s white leather-trimmed seats are 10-way power-adjustable and heated. The cabin is equipped with a Mark Levinson 12-speaker audio system, Lexus Insider infotainment, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and a backup camera.
With only 952 miles on the odometer, this LFA is being offered at no reserve on Bring a Trailer with 3 days left and a high bid of $821,000, as of this writing.
