First Hybrid
The Sian was unveiled in September 2019 as Lamborghini’s first production hybrid-electric vehicle and soon after received updated nomenclature that added the FKP 37 suffix in honor of Volkswagen Group chairman Ferdinand Karl Piëch. The model was based on the carbon-fiber monocoque and mechanical underpinnings of the Aventador while featuring an electric power boost and distinct styling. Production of the coupe was limited to 63 examples as an homage to Lamborghini’s year of establishment.
$200K+ in options
This example’s carbon-fiber bodywork is finished in Verde Triton with Ad Personam options and the carbon-fiber package each priced at $105,216. Design elements include Y-shaped daytime running lights carried over from the Terzo Millennio concept, an electrochromic glass roof panel, hexagonal taillights, a front splitter, a rear diffuser, heat-motivated active cooling vanes, and an active rear wing flanked by exposed carbon-fiber winglets with “63” script.
Gold-color center-lock wheels measure 20×9” up front and 21×13” at the rear and are wrapped in 255/30 and 355/25 Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Stopping is handled by vacuum-assisted disc brakes with carbon-ceramic cross-drilled and ventilated rotors acted upon by six-piston aluminum monobloc calipers up front and four-piston calipers at the rear. The car is equipped with magnetorheological adaptive pushrod coil-over dampers, electronic stability control, dynamic steering with a variable ratio, and rear-wheel steering.
Interior
The Sian FKP 37 model featured interior upholstery from Turin furniture maker Poltrona Frau and debuted the use of 3D-printed elements for Lamborghini. This example’s cabin is trimmed in olive green and black leather and Alcantara that is accented by white and green stitching and white piping over the seats, door panels, and dashboard. Additional features include carbon-fiber and gold-color console and door-panel trim, gold-color Lamborghini dashboard script, black carpeting with carbon-fiber insets, a black Alcantara headliner with green leather accents, automatic climate control, and a touchscreen infotainment system. The three-spoke steering wheel is accented by black Alcantara with olive green stitching and sits ahead of shift paddles. The odometer integrated into the configurable digital display shows 63 miles.
V12 Reactor
The Sian FKP 37’s 6.5-liter V12 was shared with the Aventador SVJ variant but featured titanium intake valves, revised engine management, and an updated exhaust system to provide a factory-rated 774 horsepower to all four wheels via a Haldex all-wheel-drive system with a limited-slip rear differential. Additional torque is provided directly to the rear wheels by a 48-volt electric motor that is integrated into a seven-speed ISR automated manual transmission along with a supercapacitor that is charged via regenerative braking. Combined output was factory rated at approximately 808 horsepower.
The window sticker lists the colors and options for a total suggested retail price of $2,880,255.
