Before the major Monterey shows begin, we can offer a preview gallery which has a small sampling of each event.
The official start the ‘weekend’ was on Tuesday for the first ever Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours. Wednesday was reserved for Gordon McCall’s Jet Center Party and offered a decadent mix of food, cars, wine and aircraft.
Tomorrow morning, almost all the Auctions will open up their doors to the many potential buyers in the area. RM Auctions, Christies, Gooding & Company, Bonhams and Russo & Steele are going to competete for the same cash in the collector car market.
Friday will have the historied Concorso Italiano which directly competes with the Quail Motorsport Gathering. At the same time, the Historic Races lite up for the entire weekend and focus on Indy racers.
Almost everything will end with the Pebble Beach Concours on Sunday where the Best in Show will be proudly placed on the Pacific shoreline for its winning shot.
Everything in our preview gallery comes to you from Richard Owen and Dirk de Jager. We will update our work as the events progress.
