Cincinnati, Ohio, June 14, 2015 The Lane Motor Museum presented Von Dutch’s Rocket Car creation that was a 1961 look into the future, a future that has never arrived. Carlo Abarth turned his hand towards the Porsche 356 to create this highly distinctive 1961 Porsche 356B Carrera Abarth GTL, now part of The Ingram Collection. Powered by an early Chrysler Hemi and built on a Kurtis frame with Jack Sutton bodywork, Thomas Shaughnessy’s “Caballo II” was an attempt to take on Europe’s best. The 1923 Kissel Model 6-45 Gold Bug Speedster of Esther and Ronald Hausmann sports slide-out seats on both sides.
