Some 700 American muscle cars, classics, hot rods and more are expected to cross the block at Mecum’s forthcoming Denver Auction at the city’s Colorado Convention Center on June 26-27. Among the top consignments for the auction is a 1969 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air IV with automatic transmission that is one of just nine ever built and one of only two built with a column shifter. Also garnering attention will be a 1969 Dodge Super Bee 440 Six-Pack with only 23,000 original miles (shown), and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible equipped with a fuel-injected 283-cubic inch V8 and Powerglide automatic transmission. The latter is a rust-free matching numbers car with just 27,080 miles. NBC Sports Network will broadcast 12 hours of auction coverage including seven hours live, and a live stream of the entire auction will be presented at Mecum.com.
