Close to 15,000 guests visited the Lakewood Yacht Club, May 2 through May 4 for the 19th Annual Keels and Wheels Concours d’Elegance. Wayne Carini, host of the Discovery Network’s Velocity Channel program, Chasing Classic Cars, served as the 2014 Grand Marshal.
Competitors from 25 states, Canada, Australia and Sweden brought their cherished classic automobiles and wooden boats to the picturesque bay for judging in 61 classes. Within the automobile section, Best of Show–European laurels were awarded to the 1935 Mercedes Benz 540 K Cabriolet of Joseph Cantore, while A. Charles E. Letts won the Best of Show–American award for his 1929 Duesenberg J Dual Cowl Phaeton.
