Porsche Victories Artwork
At a recent party celebrating the introduction of the new book, Racing Demons: Porsche and the Targa Florio, given at the Sea Palace hotel in Cefalu, Sicily, each of the 100 guests—including local hero Nino Vacarella—received one of these 13-x19-inch posters.
Designed by Spanish artist Daniel Munarriz, it highlights each of Porsche’s 11 victories at the classic Sicilian event, starting with the first win in 1956 by Umberto Maglioli in a 550A, and carrying through to the Stuttgart firm’s final victory in 1973 with the 911 RSR driven by Herbert Müller and Gijs van Lennep. Accompanying the year of the victory and a silhouette of the winning car, are the driver’s names, number of laps covered and time, as well as the model name of the Porsche.
