Desert Classic Concours (2014) – A Taste of France

The seventh annual Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance returns to the Palm Springs Valley on February 23, 2014.  This year’s event will be held at the Desert Princess Country Club and Golf Resort in Palm Springs, California. The Desert Classic Concours 2014 will, once again, feature more than 250 classic cars.

This year’s theme will be “A Taste of France,” highlighting classic French cars and French food from area French restaurants. The Desert Classic Gourmet Food Court will feature great French food from great French chefs, with the purchase of a limited special entry ticket. All French cars entered in the Concours d’Elegance will be granted a 50 percent reduction in entry fee.

This year’s Desert Classic will also be celebrating 100 years of Maserati  and Aston Martin history, in conjunction with the Legends of Riverside and the Riverside International Automotive Museum.

In the week leading up to the Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance, many other events are scheduled during what has come to be known as the “Desert Speed Week.”  These supporting events include: vintage car races at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, located in nearby Desert Center; the “Tour Classique” road tour, on Saturday, February 22; as well as the popular Desert Classic Concours Air Show.
