This year’s La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, April 5-7, 2013, will pay tribute to the “Classics” with a stunning field of Classic vehicles set along the idyllic coastal setting of La Jolla, California’s Ellen Browning Scripps Park.
Confirmed entries for this year’s concours include: Chuck Spielman’s Murphy-bodied Duesenberg Convertible Sedan that took Best In Class at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance; Paul Emple’s trio of 1930 Isotta Fraschini 8A Flying Star Roadster, 1947 Delahaye 175S Cabriolet and his 1930 Minerva AL Van Den Plas Cabriolet; Ken Smith’s 1936 Delahaye 135 Competition Disappearing Top Convertible that took Best in Show at the 2010 Quail Motorsports Gathering; Peter Mullin’s pontoon-fendered 1937 Delahaye Type 145 V12; and the Petersen Automotive Museum’s Rolls-Royce Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe and Cadillac Ghia Coupe.
In addition to the concours itself, this year’s show will also include three full days of events including a collection and museum tour, cocktail party reception, VIP reception and the “La Jolla Motor Car Classic at the Concours,” which will expand the scope of the show with an additional 150 cars displayed on the streets of downtown La Jolla.
