Grande Salon at Glenmoor

Classic Motorcar Auctions LLC will hold their 3rd annual Grande Salon Auction Sept. 15-16, 2012 during the Glenmoor Gathering event at the historic Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio. The Grande Salon Auction will feature more than 150 antique, classic and sports cars as well as various automotive memorabilia up for bid. Vehicles will be available for preview on Friday, Sept. 14 from 1-8 p.m.

Among the cars auctioned will be a 1912 Ford Model T prototype six cylinder Speedster once belonging to the legendary Edsel Ford. The Model T had a place in the Henry Ford Museum until 1985, when it was auctioned and underwent a full restoration. It features a full custom body, wire wheels, custom brass work and a rare, non-production six cylinder engine.

“We are excited to host our Grande Salon Auction for the third year at Glenmoor Gathering, and we’re already receiving noteworthy consignments from across the country, including this one-of-a-kind six cylinder Ford Speedster that has not been offered at auction in over 30 years,” said President Bob Lichty. “The vehicles crossing the auction block will range from $15,000 to $150,000, with a few interesting exceptions for attendees.”

Classic Motorcar Auctions will also offer a 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan convertible—one of 1,230 built—that boasts a three-speed manual transmission and is powered by a 336.7-cubic-inch V8 engine. In addition, a desirable, restored 1930 Indian Scout 101 motorcycle with a 45-cu. in. engine from the John Addams estate will also cross the auction block.
