Klaus Wagger puts his passion for Porsche’s 917 onto canvas while commemorating one race’s fastest lap.
This painting is called “260.841” because that was the (just try to imagine this) average speed (in kph) of Pedro Rodriguez’s´fastest lap during the 1971 1000 Kilometers of Spa, which produced a hard-fought battle all the way between the two Gulf Porsche 917s of Rodriguez/Jackie Oliver, the eventual winners, and polesitters Jo Siffert/Derek Bell.
