Registry of Corvette Racecars

For over 50 years, the Chevrolet Corvette has been considered by many to be “America’s sports car.” And as early as 1953, the Corvette was also one of the United States’ leading production-based racecars competing in not only domestic SCCA and later IMSA races, but also international FIA endurance events like Sebring, Daytona, and Le Mans. This month’s featured Web site is a privately-owned registry, devoted to the compilation of information and details on all Corvettes, which have been raced.

One section of this site is a very detailed breakdown and timeline of how the six generations of Corvettes have fit into the numerous national and international racing categories, over the past 55 years.

The other main section is a car-by-car registry organized by generation type (C1 through current C6), with each car listing including such things as drivers, races competed in, original build specs, ownership chain, etc. Also of interest is the fact that many of the hundreds or entries include photographs of the cars in question.

While we can’t necessarily speak to the accuracy of the data (all entries must be approved by a panel of three site coordinators), there does appear to be a wealth of information here for the Corvette racing enthusiast.
