The First Pagani Huayra R Ever Offered at Auction

One of only 30 examples produced

This 2022 Pagani Huayra R, chassis 005, represents an extraordinary opportunity for collectors. Set to be offered at RM Sotheby’s Paris auction on February 5, 2025, this car is the first Huayra R to appear at public auction, with an estimated value between $2.9 million and $3.3 million.

The Huayra R is a track-only hypercar limited to just 30 customer units. It stands apart from road-going versions by replacing the twin-turbocharged Mercedes-AMG V-12 with a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V-12 crafted by race team HWA AG. This engine, the Pagani V12-R, is a nod to the high-revving Formula 1 powerplant of the 1980s.

Weighing only 198 kilograms, it delivers an impressive 850 horsepower through a six-speed sequential gearbox. With a dry weight of just 1,050 kilograms, thanks to its carbon-titanium construction, the Huayra R offers an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio.

Chassis 005 was ordered in May 2021 and customized exceptionally, with over €310,000 added to its base price. The car features exposed carbon fiber bodywork with both gloss and matte finishes. Accents in Bronzo Chiaro, Bianco Fabriano, and Rosso Dubai complement the striking aesthetic alongside 19-inch Bronzo Chiaro forged aluminum wheels and bronze Brembo ceramic brakes.

Inside, the cabin continues the lightweight, performance-focused theme with matte carbon fiber, dark grey Alcantara, and anodized matte black aluminum trim. Custom Huayra R logos adorn the racing seat headrests, further enhancing exclusivity.

Since its completion, chassis 005 has remained under single ownership. The car has seen minimal use, displaying just 196 kilometers on its odometer. After being showcased at Circuit Paul Ricard in 2022, it returned to Formula Automobile in Denmark for a Pagani-certified service in May 2024, costing €8,600. Adding to its appeal, the Huayra R is accompanied by an extensive factory spares package, including additional wheels and tires.
