The new Dodge Charger is here but it’s completely different from its previous iterations where the car has been synonymous with roaring V8s. Because this time around, Dodge has transformed the Charger into the world’s first all-electric muscle car.
Sitting at the top of Dodge’s electrified lineup is the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Stage 2 boasting a dual-motor setup with one motor at each axle. This all-wheel-drive configuration delivers a combined 670 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft of torque.
One standout feature of the electric Charger is the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust. This innovative system uses subwoofers and amplifiers to generate a synthetic V8 engine sound reaching up to 126 decibels.
Does the new Dodge Charger deliver as a muscle car? Tom Ford from Top Gear magazine will have an answer to that question for us as he takes it for a drive!
