Unveiled to great acclaim at the 2015 North American Auto Show, the Ford GT marked a return to racing glory by clinching the GT-class win at the 2016 Le Mans, exactly 50 years after Ford’s iconic overall victory.
Developed alongside Chip Ganassi Racing/Multimatic’s racing variants, the Ford GT road models are essentially street-legal endurance racers. Manufactured by Multimatic at a specialized low-volume facility in Markham, Ontario, the first road model was completed in December 2016 with Ford executives present.
This 2021 Ford GT offered for sale on Bring A Trailer, is one of just 20 made as part of the Studio Collection for 2021. Delivered new to Kendall Ford in Bozeman, Montana, it originally cost $651,000 with factory options and has only 34 miles on the odometer.
Built with cutting-edge materials, the GT’s carbon fiber monocoque structure, aluminum subframes, and integrated roll cage contribute to a race-ready build. Hydraulic pushrod suspension, butterfly doors, and teardrop aerodynamics enhance performance and style, with rear flying buttresses guiding airflow to the engine.
A mid-mounted, 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 engine delivers 660 HP and 550 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, enabling a 0-60 MPH sprint in under 3 seconds and a top speed of 216 MPH.
Finished in Frozen White with Ingot Silver graphics, this special edition boasts a $15,000 Gloss Exterior Carbon Fiber package, a Light Speed Interior with blue Alcantara Sparco seats, leather-wrapped steering, and a lightweight Gorilla Glass windshield. Passenger comforts include climate control and infotainment, with optional 20-inch Satin Diamond Silver wheels completing this striking supercar.
