To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Countach, Lamborghini reimagined the legendary supercar with a futuristic design that pays tribute to the groundbreaking original, first revealed in 1974. While its unmistakable silhouette, hexagonal wheel arches, and signature scissor doors are retained, the Countach LPI 800-4 has been thoroughly modernized. It builds on the legacy of its predecessor while setting a new benchmark for visionary design, much like the original did.
Its presentation is more refined and mature, reflecting an evolved version of the impetuous Countach, now polished and sophisticated. The interior features sleek, flowing shapes that are more luxurious and accommodating than its earlier counterpart.
With only 112 units produced, the Countach LPI 800-4 is incredibly rare, making this example offered by Bring A Trailer a collector’s dream. This 2022 Lamborghini LPI 800-4 Countach is finished in Deep Black and showcases signature design elements like hexagonal wheel arches, scissor doors with NACA ducts extending into the quarter panels, a front splitter, rear diffuser, electronically operated three-position rear spoiler, electrochromic roof panel, and gold staggered-dimension wheels.
The interior, designed to complement the exterior, is upholstered in Ad Personam Rosso Alala leather, covering the seats, headliner, door panels, lower dashboard, center console, and instrument cluster surround. The cabin is accented with color-matched carpets and carbon-fiber trim on the dashboard, doors, and center console.
Underneath the carbon fiber body, the Aventador chassis and hybrid powertrain from the Sián power all four wheels through a seven-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission. The system pairs Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine with an electric motor powered by a supercapacitor, delivering a combined output of 802 horsepower.
This allows the Countach LPI 800-4 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of approximately 221 mph. With only 136 miles on the odometer, the sale includes original-delivery items such as the owner’s manuals, tool kit, a scale model of the car, a clean Carfax report, and a clean title.
