In 2000, Saleen Autosport unveiled the S7, an impressive supercar designed and built in the United States. Boasting a sleek carbon fiber body and a 427 cubic inch small block V8 engine producing 550 naturally aspirated horsepower, the S7 received widespread acclaim in the automotive industry.
By 2005, the S7 evolved into the S7 Twin Turbo, featuring a twin-turbocharged engine and available with 850- or 1,000-horsepower Competition Packages. This version could reach an estimated top speed of 248 mph and accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds.
This particular S7 Twin Turbo, delivered new to a Florida collector in 2005, is one of the rare examples equipped with the 1,000-horsepower Competition Package. This package adds an aggressive aerodynamic presence with an exposed carbon-fiber rear wing, a front splitter, and a revised rear diffuser, complementing the already impressive standard features like the integrated rear spoiler, side skirts, and enveloped underbody.
After residing with a California collector, this S7 Twin Turbo (chassis 05-049) found its way to its current owner in 2017, who commissioned a comprehensive mechanical refresh, including an overhaul of the twin-turbocharged 7.0-liter V8. This refresh included upgrades like a custom air intake system, a MoTeC engine management system allowing for E85 fuel, drive-by-wire throttle control, traction control, and launch control.
This stunning S7 Twin Turbo, finished in a head-turning Lizstick Red with a black leather interior accented with red stitching, is now offered for sale on Bring A Trailer with just 1,100 miles on the odometer. It is one of the fastest street-legal cars ever produced in the US in America and would make an extraordinary addition to any supercar collection.
