It is a known fact that most cars, at some point in their life, become more or less ‘cheap’, now when it comes to supercars and exotics, cheap is merely an interpretation, but still, if you would think about a Ferrari 250 GTO or a Lamborghini Miura, there has been a point in time when these cars were relatively cheap compared to their values today, same with for instance the Mercedes 600, it was always an expensive limousine, but at one point you could pick one up for cents on the dollar, nobody was interested in an old dinosaur like that, but years later they have skyrocketed and are insanely expensive now.
And the same could be said about the Lamborghini Countach, in the mid-2000s a Countach QV or a Ferrari Testarossa was cheap, nobody was interested in them anymore, and they all wanted the latest and greatest, so by 2010 or 2011 you could actually buy a Lamborghini Countach for about $75,000 each, which now trade hands for $500,000 and more, check out the story from Tony Rienzi, where he talks about buying multiple Countach for cheap, and selling them on years later for a lot more money:
